A separate planning proposal on Menangle Road and Medhurst Road was exhibited from 8 July to 21 August 2026. The site is capped at 290 dwellings, with a maximum potential of 1,450. It rezones land and approves nothing. Its deadline has since been extended to 26 February 2027.

Endeavour Energy records a 2027 power constraint at Menangle Park
The mobile substation feeding the estate "does not have the capacity to meet anticipated demand beyond 2027". The network's own Review of Environmental Factors says customers would then be unable to connect. The permanent replacement is assessed under Part 5, not a DA, and no determination is published.
Council endorses a 1,907-home East Village and sends it for a Gateway determination
Campbelltown City Council backed a scaled-back East Village rezoning beside the station on 9 December 2025 — an endorsement for Gateway, not an approval. The Planning Portal recorded no Gateway decision as at 30 August 2026.
