Distances and times marked as measured were calculated with the public OSRM router over OpenStreetMap data: the local rows on 30 August 2026 from the estate’s Menangle Road entrance at Beersheba Parade, the regional and city rows the same day from Menangle Park Station, and the station row on 3 September 2026 from the estate entrance. They do not use live traffic, so actual travel times vary, and peak hour is slower. The rest are unrouted estimates. Rows marked “est.” are the unrouted ones. The train

Menangle Park Station is on Racecourse Avenue, about 1.5 km west of the released stages. Measured on 30 and 31 August 2026, it is 1,653 to 1,724 metres and 23 to 25 minutes on foot from the Miracle Mile Boulevard bus stops, 1,222 to 1,289 metres and 17 to 18 minutes from Danehill Avenue at Doriemus Avenue, and about 620 metres and 8 minutes from the western end of Beersheba Parade. Campbelltown City Council’s Menangle Park development control plan defines walking distance from a station as “800m or a 10 minute walk”. The walk, drive and bus table in getting to work has the stop-by-stop figures.

The station is on the Southern Highlands Line, an intercity line run with diesel railcars rather than part of the electrified suburban network, which ends at Macarthur (Wikipedia). On weekdays there is roughly one train an hour each way, with extra trips in the peaks and gaps of up to about an hour and a half; at weekends, one every one and a half to two and a half hours. Journey times are about 6 minutes to Macarthur and 8 to 12 to Campbelltown, depending on the service; coming back, 4 minutes from Macarthur and 7 from Campbelltown. Getting to work carries the timetable to the minute.

The station is unattended and sells no tickets — no Opal top-up and no single-trip tickets — so arrive with a loaded Opal or a contactless card. Transport for NSW described its works there between 2 and 10 March 2026 as site investigations and vegetation trimming.

Accessibility. Transport for NSW lists Menangle Park as Assisted Access, with wheelchair ramp boarding assistance, a hearing loop and a PA system; its platform data does not mark the station as wheelchair accessible. The two platforms are joined by a level crossing over the tracks. The boarding ramp needs no booking: Transport for NSW says every train is accessible using a platform-to-train ramp, so wait in the middle of the platform and signal the guard, who deploys the ramp and rings ahead for the other end. If step-free access matters for your trip, check with Transport for NSW on 131 500 before travelling.

Campbelltown is where you change. Almost every Menangle Park train starts or ends there. The second leg is the T8 Airport & South Line, through Wolli Creek, the International and Domestic Airport stations and on to Central; build the door-to-door journey in the trip planner. The airport stations charge a separate Station Access Fee.

Liverpool and Parramatta take two changes: Campbelltown, then Glenfield onto the T5 Cumberland Line, which runs about every 30 minutes. Glenfield to Liverpool is 8 minutes and to Parramatta about 34, per the T5 timetable. Allow 45 to 60 minutes to Liverpool and 80 to 100 to Parramatta, depending on the connections.

Buses

Route 889 is the only regular public bus route serving Menangle Park, on Transport for NSW’s route information checked on 30 August 2026. It was upgraded, not introduced, in 2026: from 5 July 2026 it became a seven-day service with 83 extra trips a week; before that it ran up to twelve times a day, six days a week.

Transit Systems NSW SW runs it as “Macarthur to Menangle via Menangle Park (Loop Service)”. The 28 September–11 October timetable and school-term timetable from 12 October show 23 weekday departures from Macarthur (05:06–21:36) and 16 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (06:16–21:14), with every trip marked wheelchair accessible. The loop has outward and return station stops: the 07:02 weekday Macarthur trip reaches them at 07:21 and 07:37. It returns to Macarthur at 07:59 in the current holiday timetable, or 08:03 on school days from 12 October after serving Broughton Anglican College. Check the direction and travel date.

For Western Sydney International, where passenger flights begin on 25 October 2026, route 845 runs from Campbelltown Station via Oran Park every 30 minutes, 5am to 10pm, seven days, from 5 July 2026; Transport for NSW says access into the airport site is not available until the airport opens. From here, take the train to Campbelltown and change to the 845; from the 889, change at Macarthur for a one-stop train to Campbelltown first.

Roads

Spring Farm Parkway Stage 1 opened in August 2024. Transport for NSW lists its ramps as north-facing only, “City facing on and off ramps”: you can join the Hume northbound towards Sydney, and leave the southbound Hume when arriving from Sydney. Trips to or from the Hume towards Picton Road, Wollongong or Canberra use another interchange.

Stage 2 is funded for planning only. The 3 km link west to Liz Kernohan Drive has $15 million for environmental assessment and concept design, and Transport for NSW marks determination, detailed design, tender and construction “subject to funding”. The Review of Environmental Factors and proposed design are on public display, with comment closing at 11:59pm on Sunday 27 September 2026 (see our report). Transport for NSW said in May 2025 that the final business case would be complete by early 2027.

Menangle Road is at strategic planning stage. The proposed widening between Tindall Street, Campbelltown and Cummins Road is in the $65 million South West Sydney Roads Planning program, and as at October 2025 Transport for NSW said concept design would “soon start”.

Appin Road Stage 1 was completed in March 2026: widening, safety barriers and five kilometres of koala exclusion fencing. Stage 2 is at concept design.

Before any trip, check the trip planner at transportnsw.info, which shows the day’s trackwork.
