Complaints and corrections
Tell us about an error or a concern about our reporting, and see how we will respond.
If something we publish is wrong, misleading, unfair or inconsistent with our editorial standards, please tell us. You do not need an account or a connection to the subject to raise a concern.
Send a correction or complaint
Use the corrections and complaints option on our contact form, or email info@menangleparkguide.com.au. For a complaint, put Editorial complaint in the subject line.
Please include:
- The page URL and the passage, image or claim you are concerned about.
- What you believe is wrong or which editorial standard is involved.
- Any supporting documents or source links you have. Evidence is helpful, but it is not a condition of making a complaint.
- Your email address so we can reply.
We use your information to investigate and respond. A complaint does not subscribe you to our newsletter, and we do not publish your identity simply because you contacted us. See our privacy policy.
How we respond
Menangle Park Guide reviews corrections and editorial complaints. We aim to acknowledge receipt within five business days and provide a considered response within 20 business days. These are response targets; if an investigation needs longer, we will explain the delay and give you a progress update.
We review the published material, check the relevant evidence and may ask you or the people involved for clarification. We give allegations and criticisms a fair hearing. Advertising, membership or a commercial relationship does not change how a complaint is assessed.
We explain our decision, including any correction or other action we take. If you disagree, reply with the point you believe remains unresolved or any additional evidence, and ask us to review it again.
How corrections appear
Minor fixes. Spelling, grammar, formatting and similar changes that do not alter the meaning may be corrected without a note.
Material errors. We correct the text and add a visible Correction note explaining the original error and the corrected information. If a headline, image or summary was misleading, we correct that too. The note remains with the article.
New information. A later announcement or changed circumstance is an update or a follow-up, rather than an error in an accurate earlier account. We identify the change and link related reporting where useful.
Serious concerns. Where needed, we may temporarily hold or remove material while checking it, or publish a clarification, apology or retraction. We explain the action as far as we can without repeating harmful material or disclosing private information.
If materially incorrect information was also distributed through a channel we control, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it there as well.
