The $1 million project closes the pedestrian link between Campbelltown Station and the city centre during construction. Council expects completion in December 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
ALLY Infrastructure will finalise the design and construct upgrades in Campbelltown, Glenfield and Ingleburn; Council says construction is targeted to begin by late 2026, with completion anticipated in 2028.
A full-line Woolworths, specialty retail, childcare, a medical centre and an indoor recreation facility with a swim school, proposed on a site of about 37,000 sqm inside the estate. Woolworths lodged DA 2503/2026/DA-C with Campbelltown City Council in May 2026 and the application is under assessment. It has not been publicly exhibited, determined or approved. Woolworths describes it as a neighbourhood shopping centre that is part of the planned Menangle Park Town Centre; the application covers that retail component, not every element shown in earlier Town Centre masterplans. Menangle Park has no supermarket of its own in the meantime.
Dahua targets construction in 2027 and opening in late 2028, subject to approval.
Stated timing:
Dahua Group Australia says construction is targeted to start in 2027 with opening anticipated late 2028, subject to approval. Woolworths' consultation site lists public exhibition and Council determination as stages to come.
A new NSW public primary school with co-located public early learning, initially for 500 students. School Infrastructure NSW's September 2026 update says the master plan has been validated and concept design is almost complete. The agency plans a community information session in Term 4 2026 and submission and public exhibition of the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) in late 2026. Its opening target remains Day 1, Term 1 2029.
School Infrastructure NSW targets Day 1, Term 1 2029.
Stated timing:
School Infrastructure NSW retains an opening target of Day 1, Term 1 2029, with initial capacity for 500 students and provision for future expansion.
A proposed 3 km four-lane divided road that would complete the east-west link from Stage 1 west to Liz Kernohan Drive, joining the Camden Bypass, the Hume Motorway and Menangle Road. The project is funded for planning and design ($15 million committed by NSW and Australian Governments), with the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) on public exhibition in September 2026. Construction funding is not yet determined.
Public exhibition ended 27 September 2026. Construction funding is not yet determined.
Stated timing:
Review of Environmental Factors (REF) on display for comment from 3 to 27 September 2026, the report says; the governments announced it on 7 September. Transport for NSW expects the final business case by early 2027. Construction commencement remains subject to future funding decisions.
Mount Annan Leisure Centre is selling a trial pass for 14 consecutive days for $14, covering the gym, group fitness classes and the aquatic facilities. It is open only to first-time visitors aged 16 and over who live or work within 10 km of the centre, photo ID is needed to activate it, and the pass must be started by 18 October 2026.
Trade in an old 18V battery in store and take $50 off an Ozito PXC 18V 5.2Ah battery twin pack (I/N 0590314) or a Ryobi 18V ONE+ 5.0Ah twin pack (I/N 0585317), until Monday 19 October 2026 or while stocks last. Bunnings' terms say the offer is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over, that the trade-in may be any brand of 18V lithium-ion power tool battery, and that the $50 applies once per battery traded in: two batteries take $50 off each of two packs.
For people over 55, $30 buys a roast of the day lunch in the Miracle Mile Restaurant, a drink, tea and coffee, a racebook and betting facilities, with seating for the Tuesday afternoon harness racing. Booking is essential, pre-paid by credit card only and non-refundable, and sales close at midday on the Friday before unless it sells out sooner.

The new public primary school is targeted for Day 1 Term 1 2029. Until then, here are the public catchments that apply, how school buses connect, and local childcare options.
The iron viaduct over the Upper Nepean, newly opened, engraved for the Illustrated Sydney News of 16 June 1864. It crosses the river between Menangle, today postcode 2568 in Wollondilly Shire, and Menangle Park, where Campbelltown's heritage schedule lists it. In 1864 there was no Menangle Park: both banks were the one Menangle district, and the eastern side was called North Menangle until the racecourse of 1914 renamed it. · Illustrated Sydney News · public domain · source

Short answers, each linking to the page that carries the sources.
What is Menangle Park known for?
Club Menangle, the harness racing track on Racecourse Avenue, and the land release being built around it. The suburb is on Dharawal country, and the 2021 Census counted 224 people living here — the last official count of the suburb. Every larger figure published since is an estimate, a forecast or a planning yield, not a newer count.
No, and sources confuse them constantly. Menangle Park is postcode 2563, in the Campbelltown City Council area, with Menangle Park station. Menangle is a separate village, postcode 2568, in Wollondilly Shire, with its own station. Different councils, different SES units, different flood plans.
No. There is no supermarket, no pharmacy, no petrol station and no post office in the suburb. The closest supermarkets are Macarthur Square, 7.0 km north, and Marketfair Campbelltown, 7.8 km. A Woolworths-anchored town centre is a development application under assessment by Campbelltown City Council, which is not an approval and not an opening date.
One: Broughton Anglican College, an independent school from Pre-Kinder to Year 12 on Menangle Road. There is no public school in the suburb. School Infrastructure NSW says a new public primary school with a co-located early learning service is planned for Day 1 Term 1 2029, and until it opens essentially all of the suburb sits in the Douglas Park Public School intake area.
Houses first, and then a list where the status matters more than the picture: the town centre is under assessment, the public primary school has a date from the agency but no planning approval, and Spring Farm Parkway Stage 1 gives city-facing motorway ramps only, not a full interchange. Our tracker labels every item built, approved, under assessment, proposed or only marketed.

What this guide can do is set out the costs to budget for — transfer duty, legal work, finance, what a building contract leaves out, rates — and the constraints that decide what you can build: mine subsidence, bushfire rating and noise.
