How to play

Move all tiles up, down, left or right. Two matching tiles that meet combine into one. Each tile can merge once per move. A new 2 or 4 appears after a move that changes the board. Merged numbers are added to your score. Reach 2048, then choose whether to keep playing. The game ends when no move is possible.

Focus the board and use the arrow keys or WASD. Swipe on a phone. Choose Show direction buttons in Menu & saved game if you prefer buttons. F toggles full screen where supported. P pauses the game; M toggles sound.
