The swim season at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands opens on the October long weekend. The Summer Season Launch runs 10am to 5pm on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026 — the Saturday and the Sunday, not the Labour Day Monday — at Bradbury, roughly 9–10 km from Menangle Park.

Booking, and what it costs

Entry is ticketed from October to April: $8.30 an adult, $5.50 a child or concession, $23.30 a family — two adults and two children, or one adult and three, on Council’s own definition — and $3.70 for an additional child. Children five and under swim free with a full-paying adult or concession. Council fees change annually.

The Billabong runs to a capacity limit, and Council says tickets can be booked up to four weeks ahead or bought on site. If the booking system shows a day as sold out, Council’s advice is to check back, because cancellations go back into it. Council files the launch under its school holiday programs, and the weekend falls inside the NSW spring school holidays, which run 28 September to 9 October 2026.

What is on

Council says the weekend’s highlights will include live skate demonstrations and competitions with professional skaters, mobile laser skirmish, and face painting. The skate activation is not covered by your ticket — Council’s event page says additional fees apply for it, with everything else included in general entry.

Council says the Billabong drew more than 85,000 visitors over the last summer swim season.

Closing time in October: plan on 5pm

Update — 12 October 2026: Council’s 6 October announcement confirms regular pool opening times of 10am to 5pm daily during October 2026, then 10am to 7pm daily from November 2026 to March 2027. This agrees with Council’s seasonal opening table. Council’s FAQs note that hours may vary during special events. The September advice and the discrepancy reported at the time are retained below.

Council’s seasonal table and its hut-hire page both put April and October at 10am to 5pm daily. The 8 September media release says the pools will be open 10am to 6pm daily following the launch, then 10am to 7pm from November 2026 to February 2027.

The release’s figures match Council’s earlier seasonal table. An archived copy of the About page from 2 February 2026 had two seasons: summer from October to March, at 10am to 6pm for October and March and 10am to 7pm from November to February, and winter from April to September. The current table adds a shoulder season and places October in it, at 10am to 5pm.

So plan on 5pm, and ring 02 4645 4511 if you are coming late in the day. The launch weekend itself is not in doubt: Council’s event page gives 10am to 5pm on both days.

The rest of the year

  • November to March — 10am to 7pm daily, pools open
  • April and October — 10am to 5pm daily, pools open
  • May to September — 10am to 4pm daily, pools closed, Splash Park and parklands open

The parklands are open year-round. Over winter they are free to walk into and the Splash Park runs; what comes back in October is the swimming, and with it the ticket.
