Menangle Park Station

The Southern Highlands Line is a diesel intercity line, with roughly one train an hour each way on weekdays, extra trips in the peaks, gaps of up to about an hour and a half, and fewer services at weekends. Bring a loaded Opal card or a contactless card.

Journey times are about 6 minutes to Macarthur and 8 to 12 minutes to Campbelltown, depending on the service. Campbelltown is where you change for the T8 Airport & South Line, which reaches the City via the Airport or via Sydenham depending on the trip; Liverpool and Parramatta need a second change at Glenfield onto the T5 Cumberland Line. Getting between the platforms means crossing the line at a level crossing. A ramp leads up to the platform. Transport for NSW records the station as not wheelchair accessible. Its boarding ramps need no pre-booking but can only be used at specific boarding assistance zones; on Intercity trains the accessible doors are in the middle of the platform and the guard’s compartment shows a blue light. Ring 131 500 before relying on the station for a wheelchair, pram or walking frame.
