Transport for NSW's stop page for Menangle Park Station lists a commuter car park among the station facilities, but publishes no number of spaces. The only capacity figure any agency has published — up to 650 free long-stay spaces, in a 2019 roads document — was corrected by that agency later the same year.

Park and ride is possible here. Menangle Park has one railway station, so this is the only station car park in the suburb. Transport for NSW’s stop page for the station lists a commuter car park alongside the emergency help point, payphone, hearing loop and PA system. It gives no space count, and says nothing about whether the car park is sealed, line-marked or free.

The 650-space figure was corrected, not just out of date. The February 2019 Review of Environmental Factors for Spring Farm Parkway Stage 1 said “Long stay station parking is provided, free of charge for up 650 cars”, with access via Racecourse Avenue. Eight months later Roads and Maritime Services corrected it in its October 2019 Submissions Report: “Section 6.1.2 of the REF incorrectly identified that long stay station parking is provided at Menangle Park Station for up 650 cars. Informal car parking is provided at the station.” The agency’s own replacement description is informal parking. So 650 is not an earlier count that has since changed; it is a figure the agency corrected.

No current record gives a capacity figure. Menangle Park does not appear on Transport for NSW’s Commuter Car Park Program list, either as complete or in planning, so there is no announced car park upgrade. In April 2021 South West Voice reported that, answering a parliamentary question from Campbelltown MP Greg Warren, the NSW Government said there were no plans to provide additional commuter parking at the station, and that Mr Warren said commuters park on grass and dirt on the eastern side. Transport for NSW has not published a space count, so a count in a property listing comes from another source.

If capacity matters for your commute, arrive early and look at the car park on a weekday morning before you rely on it.
