Ramsay plans a $26.5 million surgical centre in Campbelltown
Ramsay Health Care expects its planned private surgical centre to open in mid-2028, with three operating theatres including a dedicated procedure room and 12 inpatient beds.

Ramsay Health Care plans to invest $26.5 million in a private surgical centre in Campbelltown, a proposed addition to Macarthur’s health services for residents including those in Menangle Park. In its 29 September 2026 announcement, Ramsay says the centre is expected to open in mid-2028 within the Macarthur Health Precinct.
What Ramsay plans
Ramsay’s announcement lists three operating theatres including a dedicated procedure room, with capacity for a fourth theatre in the future. The centre would also have 12 inpatient beds.
Planned specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy, gynaecology, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology and plastic surgery. Ramsay expects around 35 jobs in the initial phase, including nurses, allied health professionals and other healthcare workers.
The $26.5 million is Ramsay’s announced investment in the surgical centre.
Two different timetables
Developer Vital Healthcare Property Trust says Stage 2 works at the Macarthur Health Precinct began in June 2026 and are expected to finish in early 2028.
That date concerns completion of the Stage 2 works. Ramsay’s expected opening for its surgical centre is mid-2028. Both are the respective organisations’ forecasts.
The announcement therefore describes a planned health service. Residents looking for care can use Ramsay’s published timetable to distinguish this project from services already operating.
