Jemena Gas Networks (NSW)

Natural gas distribution network · Council, utilities & emergency

Sydney and NSWGasNew connections

The natural gas network operator for the region. Whether reticulated gas actually reaches a given Menangle Park lot is not confirmed, so check before you specify gas appliances. Gas faults and emergencies are on 131 909; general enquiries on 1300 137 078.

This is the one utility question at Menangle Park with no clean answer. The estate’s own servicing report, prepared by SMEC in November 2018 and lodged on the NSW Planning Portal, stated there was no existing gas reticulation network in Menangle Park, that servicing the masterplan would need about 5.4 km of lead-in main from Kellicar Road, and that supplying gas was a commercial decision for Jemena. That report is now old and may well have been overtaken, and many new NSW estates are being delivered all-electric. Jemena publishes no address-level availability checker, so confirm with Jemena or your builder for your specific lot rather than assuming either way.
